If you're scheduled for surgery or other procedures at Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC), registering is now quicker. Thank REGIE^SM -- our Request for Preregistration via Email-Generated Information Exchange.

Three to five days before you arrive at CRMC, you or a representative from your doctor's office can use our secure Web-based email system to request services. These include scheduled outpatient surgery, designated diagnostic tests, inpatient admission or unscheduled routine outpatient laboratory tests, and X-rays.

"REGIE really expedites our hospital check-in process," says Rachel Sanchez, Director of Information Systems at CRMC. "It makes it much more convenient and takes less time for patients to begin the process in the comfort of their own homes. Or, someone from your doctor's office can preregister for you."

To begin, please visit our Web site at www.coronaregional.com and look for the REGIE icon -- a messenger on inline skates. Clicking on REGIE will take you to a secure Web site where you can fill out and submit an online registration form. If any information is incomplete, a clerk will call you. If your health insurer requires precertification, a preregistration clerk also will take care of that.

On the day of your procedure, give your name in the registration lobby. If your name is on the preregistration list, you won't have to wait as long. A registrar will take a copy of your doctor's order and ask you to sign some forms to validate your documents. Then, thanks to REGIE, you'll be on your way.
